Gibson, David age 70, of Eden Prairie, died August 12, 2012 seven days after suffering a cardiac arrest at home. He was born in Mpls on January 26, 1942. He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Gibson and his mother, Estelle Buckley Gibson. David was raised in St. Louis Park, attended Most Holy Trinity Elementary School, Benilde High School and graduated from St. Louis Park High School in 1961. He is survived by Judy, his wife of 46 years; his daughters, Christine Jensen of Lakeville and Laura Gibson of St. Paul; and his grandsons, Tanner and Logan Jensen of Lakeville. David loved his family most of all but his red truck, the Minnesota State Fair, street rods and rainbow sherbet were all close seconds. He loved taking good care of his girls and teaching his grandsons the finer points of making their way in the world. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. The family wishes to thank the Eden Prairie Police and Fire Departments and the paramedics of the Hennepin County Medical Center for their efforts. We also want to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Elizabeth Miller and the incredible nurses in the Medical Surgical ICU at Methodist Hospital for their extraordinary care of David and their special attention to the family.
