Sandra L. “Sandy” Young (Buvick), age 74, a longtime resident of Naperville, passed away on April 19, 2018 in Naperville, IL. She was born on May 2, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN of Swedish and Scandinavian descent.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 30 years, Thomas R. Young; step children Megan (Robert) Morrison and Lauren (Kevin) Vaclavik; grandchildren Erika Pauley, Danielle (Andrew) Wilson, Alex Sobieski, Grace Sobieski, Maxwell Morrison, Lia Morrison, Hadley Vaclavik, Caleb Vaclavik, and Harper Vaclavik; nieces Karen (Travis) Voels, Paula (Steve) Geersten, and Cheryl (Don) Mendelsohn.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ruby and Arthur Buvick; step mother Ruby Buvick; sister Barbara (Ronald) Middlestadt.
Sandy was a proud member of the Mary Kay Cosmetics sales team and loved Mary Kay Pink. Prior to her retirement, she became a business owner with shared office spaces in Naperville. She was a proud former member of the Naperville Chamber of Commerce.
Sandy absolutely loved Christmas time and will be remembered for her Christmas cookies with lots of butter and her leftsa. Sandy was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Family and friends to gather Saturday, April 21 for 10:00 AM visitation until time of funeral service 1:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services 44 S. Mill St. Naperville, IL 60540.
Interment will be private.
