1943-03-03 2020-05-06Volkmar, Richard, 76, A resident at 3017 Zarthan Avenue since 1948, passed on May 6, 2020. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Walker.
Rick graduated from the Minnesota School of Art and spent his lift creating images
of beauty and strength in clay, oil, acrylic, pencil, charcoal and whatever he believed
could establish beauty and meaning.
Richard made this pin for me in 1967. He was a talented, interesting and creative man. Sandra
tribute by Sandra BurkRichard was a colleague at Art Instruction schools. We worked together and became friends in the late 1960s. He made a small decorative pin for me . It is still my treasure. It's sad to know he is no longer with us.
