Kathleen Mary O'Neill, A devoted mother and beloved educator, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024, at the age of 81 in Tampa, Florida. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Kathleen's passion for learning led her to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, where she laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to teaching.

For many years, Kathleen inspired countless young minds as a K-3rd grade teacher, finding joy in nurturing a love for learning among her students. Her patience and creativity made her a cherished figure in the classroom, and she often spoke of the joy she found in watching her students grow and thrive.

Kathleen was not only a passionate educator but also a devoted family woman. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, especially her two children, John O'Neill and Gail Turner-Cooper. Family gatherings were filled with laughter, stories, and the warmth of her unwavering love. Kathleen was deeply affected by the passing of her husband, Richard, earlier this year, and their bond was a testament to enduring love.

In addition to her dedication to her family and students, Kathleen was an avid reader, often found lost in the pages of her favorite novels. Her enthusiasm for stories and knowledge was infectious, inspiring those around her to seek out the magic in books.

Kathleen leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and an unshakeable commitment to education and family. She will be deeply missed by her children, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

A celebration of Kathleen's life will be held with a funeral mass at 2pm on Friday, November 8, 2024 at St. Paul Catholic Church located at 12708 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33618.
