Comment: We are happily retired in Florida where we get to swim, golf, bike, and visit the ocean whenever we want to.. .62 Minnesota winters were enough! We both agree that retirement is the best job we've ever had. We now have the gift of time to spend with our kids, four wonderful grandchildren, great new friends and great old friends from "up north" who come to visit most of the winter.

Enjoy the reunion..sorry I can"t be there with you, but Hello to you all.

Comment: My great admiration for the tremendous work by our classmates responsible for '61 IT'S NOW OR NEVER. "Far out". I don't know anyone who has had a reunion of this magnitude.

When I moved to Oregon in 1973 for training, I didn't really know where Oregon was, just that it was near California, which was my ultimate goal (like about everyone leaving Minn).

As an expatriate (of Minnesota), I have to say that I didn't have a full appreciation for Minnesota until I discovered Garrison Keillor (a U of M student when we were there)  and Prairie Home Companion by accident on the radio many years ago while driving between Portland and Seattle. Now I live vicariously.
What are your favorite activities?: Tennis-some. Golf-some. Bicycling. Walking. Exercise-I have to. Art observe, not produce-yet. Theater observe, not act-ever. Music, listen, not play again-yet.
What countries have you visited and/or would you like to visit?: Most of Western Europe; Mexico; Canada. Let me put it this way--my son has traveled much more than I have.
What kind of music do you like today?: All music, but I'm always ready for rock 'n roll.
How would your friends describe you today?: Good question! I may consider asking them, but I hesitate. Best guesses. Usually fun but a little out there at times. Usually reliable but a little out there at times. Good person to play tennis or golf with because they can always beat me.
What would you change if you could?: It has not been perfect. It has all worked out reasonbably well. What would I change? At least one relationship decision. Not being an orthodontist and solely focused on braces (every kid gets braces these days)-my son didn't take this advice either despite whispering subliminal messages in his ear at night when he was a little guy. Not taking typing classes and harassing the guys who did.
