50 years already-impossible, we can't possibly be old. Occupation: Retired-Finally, following six years in the Navy and the remainder of my workin' days at Northwest Airlines-as an aircraft mechanic, but I found my true calling as a union representative shortly after beginning my Northwest Airlines stint. For 37+ years I was privileged to serve n many Union positions and as the editor of our monthly paper. Being retired one wonders how we ever had time to work. Friends and family consume a lot of time. My position with my favorite charity also eats up many hours of these fast-flying days. Can't quite seem to find enough hours to get the "important things" done. Oh well, there's always next Saturday. Wait a minute-I've got six Saturdays and one Sunday every week now! |

It's been a great journey since my high school days. Goofed around at first and then joined the military, went to college, got married, had kids, etc, etc. During this time I was blessed witih five grandchildren, two of whom are autistic. I've had the opportunity to learn about kids with special needs and also about people with special needs. Wow! There is so much to be done out there and so little time. Looking forward to seeing everyone next August. |

Comment:
This will be the first reunion I have attended, and have great hopes that very faint memories will be jogged by the experience! For general information, I discovered an interest in architecture (even though I worked as a geek in community theater a lot during HS) in High School, and after going to St. Olaf went on to graduate architecture school. Since 1976 have been part of a unique firm in Northfield that specializes in church design, historic preservation, educational and non-profit organizational work, as well as designing private residences. Now its president. No plans to retire anytime soon. Jennifer (Harvey) Edwins and I have had two boys now launched in architecture and web design. Jennifer works in the management of the Carleton College Library in Northfield. |
